Sunshine brought out some flowers this week. Going clockwise, Hairy Bittercress, Daisy, Prickly Sowthistle, a white Herb Robert, Winter Heliotrope, Gorse, a blurry Common Ramping Fumitory blowing in the wind, and Chickweed. #wildflowerhour @bsbibotany.bsky.social @wildflowerhour.bsky.social

A new discovery for me - tiny stalk-less sporophytes on the thallus of a Riccia in a stubble field. I think it’s Riccia sorocarpa, with a deep groove in the thallus and colourless cells along the margin. #mosses #bryophyes #liverwort
