Would love a clear articulation how you see this deviating from Theory of Constructed Emotion. I would also check out @lisafeldmanbarrett.com and Maria Gendron’s history of emotion paper where they bring up several similar points (e.g., about William James)

Curious about this— I would have guessed they’d reduce sensitivity if they are also lowering heart rate. What do you make of these results?
