Wildlife Rehab | Birbs | Native Plants Portland Footy
Protect Trans Kids | She/Her
Just planted a lot of native plants in the backyard this week. And this morning saw a junco jumping onto get a berry off a snowberry plant. It’s ridiculous how much joy this gives me.

This Cooper’s hawk hit a window at End of Oregon Trail Historical site. They called our org July 30th to capture the hawk that was in their porch. After healing a coracoid fracture, brought him back to the site to release yesterday. Windows are brung treated to prevent future window strikes.

Told a friend I was trying to get a skunk from a well.
“What are you, Lassie?”

I have named him Timmie.

Timmie is now free!

Got a live trap, and boat winch straps and lowered that down. Now I’m just waiting.

Was unsuccessful getting the skunk out today. MCAS’ live trap was too small so we tried lowering a cat carrier down. Apparently the skunk has dug itself a den in the dirt and crawled into it to hide. Will need to acquire a live trap and come back tomorrow.

Dark colors with matte top coat is gothy enough for me. Tho I can make something like these (not the face). As long as you use the art polish with the skinny brush for the stitches.

We have a lovely big leaf maple in the front yard. The trunk has divided into two and one trunk is now a snag. This snag houses squirrels and chickadees nests each year, and maybe woodpeckers. However the snag has live branches and they were eventually too heavy for the dead wood.

Today two 20 somethings were so happy we were able to release the crow they brought us, that they postponed their plans, waited for us to arrive, and created this adorable chalk art.

This work is hard. Much harder for the full time staff. Little things like this bring a lot of joy. #wildliferehab
