Thank you :)
I was actually going to write to you about this SI. I think you might find a few other articles interesting, as they address the use of racial categories in Germany:

EPSA 2025 (@epsaphilsci.bsky.social) was a fantastic conference – full of learning, inspiring conversations, and wonderful people.
Grateful to @celsoneto.bsky.social for the invitation to the Race Across Genomics Symposium!

‘Pursuing peace’… I have no civil words to describe this performance – an alliance steeped in cynicism, hypocrisy, corruption, cruelty, and duplicity.
They truly have no shame.

I just came across a 2001 text advocating a new classification of human biological races. Given Russia’s ongoing crimes against Ukrainians and various indigenous ppls (eg Crimean Tatars), it is telling that the author is from Moscow. Racist ideas continue to flourish there today.

I’ve been swamped with work lately and missed the fact that Steven Pinker has once again appeared on a podcast openly promoting racist and eugenicist ideas. Absolutely vile — though sadly no surprise.
Sharing in case others missed it too.

But there are sheep and a donkey on the Belarusian side (in the mountains near the border🤣). There’s also one sentence “in Polish,” which includes the word “k*rwa,” but the rest barely makes sense and isn’t translated 😂

Just watched Heads of State. Apparently, we live in the Wild Wild East, there are mountains on the Poland–Belarus border, Warsaw runs on 90s PCs and landlines (all set to country music in the background), and border residents resemble memes of squatting Slavs in tracksuits...

Who controls the narrative controls the people.
"Who controls the past controls the future: who controls the present controls the past [...]
We, the Party, control all records, and we control all memories. Then we control the past, do we not?"

Those of you familiar with my research know the quality of my work and understand that allegations framing it as ‘leftist pseudoscience’ are utter nonsense. I always strive to make my job as reliable as possible.
Yet, over the past few days, once again I’ve faced threats and harassment (mainly on X)

I would love to see some numbers when it comes to the relation of 💶 transferred to ERC from each country and 💶 they get back from ERC in grants (ideally, considering each country’s budget for sciences, GDP etc). I have the feeling that CEE is funding grants for European West 🤣

Best Christmas gift ever! The mere fact that experts found my project worth sending for further review is a huge success for me. Keep your fingers crossed :) Final decisions will be made no later than March... I don't think I'll sleep for the next 3 months ;)
