Got it! That's what I been hearing, finish that before the end date so you can submit at any time and then polish and bug fix with any remaining time you have!

Get your core gameplay loop in ASAP, start screen, gameplay, win/loss state. Once you have that you can polish and bug fix and start to think about bonus features.
