Finally - publication day for my new book “Searching for my Slave Roots” 28 Aug 2025. I did a presentation at Senate House @senatehouselib.bsky.social in London. Here’s a snippet talking about the barbarities of the British enslavers in the Carribean, boiling Africans alive in molten sugar solution.

Having a mentors like Gil Scott-Heron and The Last Poets was the difference between success and failure for me. Gil & Jalal have gone but their memories live on. I wish they’d lived to see me graduate from Cambridge this year. #BLM
