yeah the next time i go to japan i'm gonna relax this rule (or tbh probably buy a suitcase while there), i need to do it for india too bc i always want to buy huge textiles and antiques and woodworked stuff when i'm there

oh yeah i'm a serious one bagger LMAO so it's kind of a hobby for me to get my packs as light as possible (while also having cute outfits and room for small souvenirs)

i know people also really like the osprey daylite 26+6. i almost bought it but i don't like that the 26+6 doesn't have a separate laptop compartment (the next size up does tho)

it's SUPER LIGHT and i love that it fits under the seat on p much every budget or regional airline i've been on, with the exception of a very small domestic flight in tanzania. def fits on domestic SE + S asian flights!

ok this might not be up ur alley but i'm truly obsessed with my ULA dragonfly 30L, but the 30L is probably too small for your use case? they do make a 36L as well. this brand was originally meant for hiking but the ultra light travelers (like me) got into them
