So I mentioned a move recently and that move involved me going from an altitude of 500ft to ~5280ft. This affects my baking process and that’s what I’ve been working on the last few days. Had to adjust rise times, temperature, and bake times but I have a feel for it now.

Daily Creations - Day 4

Decided to mess with a bit of 2d animation. Took a lot longer to get something I was even slightly happy with than I expected, but in my opinion the box does appear to rotate.

Daily Creations - Day 3

I'm struggling to figure out what I want to draw. So my sketching is feeling a bit aimless right now.

Daily Creations - Day 2 - Already Slipped Up

Oops, forgot to actually post this yesterday, gonna need to set a reminder until I get back in the habit again.

Daily Creations - Day 1 - A Fresh Start in a New Home

Considering my long haitus due to falling sick and then moving to a new state it felt wrong continuing the old count, so I'm starting anew with the day counter. Still getting settled so only some quick sketches today.

Daily Art Challenge - Days 100 and 101

Still stick, but recovering. In my infinite wisdom I decided to sew a long-sleeve, button down, collared blouse to try to deal with the boredom. So I've been working at that between sleeping and having coughing fits, still got a good bit left.

I have done some doodling and general practice, but nothing I feel like sharing. I might try to draw something later this evening for a more proper day 99 post, but we'll see. In the meanwhile here's a photo I took a while back.

Daily Art Challenge - Days 96 & 97

Ellipses are hard.

Daily Art Challenge - Days 94 & 95

Sorry for the radio silence, both had some family stuff and have been focused on trying to sew a button up blouse. It's definitely the trickiest thing I've tried to sew. I've also been working on better understanding the first set of lesson 2 exercises.

Daily Art Challenge - Day 93

Did some more work with heads, I think I'm starting to get some of it but noses, mouths, and ears seem to be what I struggle with the most. Regardless I do believe the heads are turning out better than the first few attempts.

Daily Art Challenge - Day 92

Worked on getting a better hold on the arrows and I'm now feeling a lot more comfortable with them. The biggest ah moments had to do with curve crossing points, and now I feel I understand how to match the spacing in a way that looks right.

Daily Art Challenge - Days 90 & 91

Started on lesson 2 of draw a box. Copying a previous curve with or without changing distance between the curves for the sake of perspective is really hard, especially when your hand hides the parent curve. I'm going to practice this a lot.

Here's the mountain of food that took all evening and night to make: nearly 2.5 kg of chicken, a fairly large amount of seasoned rice, and a loaf of bread

Daily Art Challenge - Day 89

The final prompt was to make a spin on a mythical creature/race. Today was a big meal prep day (once again leaving little time to draw.) I only had ~20 minutes to draw a kappalotl.

This has really helped give me things to work on

Daily Art Challenge - Day 88

The prompt for the day was: create a vehicle out of household objects, I came up with the idea of a flying machine using a laundry basket and a fan early in the day and then was out of the house all day leaving little time to draw 😅

Daily Art Challenge - Day 87

Today's prompt was "Reversal of fear", it once again took me till the last hour to think of an idea that wouldn't be a rules violation. The result was me choosing to go with the fear of disease, with vaccination terrifying germs.

Daily Art Challenge - Day 86

Spent almost the entire day in bed with a migraine, but recovered well enough in the evening to still do the prompt for today: create a replacement for the easter bunny.

I ended up landing on an easter/spring spider/tarantula.

Daily Art Challenge - Day 85

Today's prompt was clown and daily life themed, I wanted to draw my online friends with clowny aspects but kept getting stuck so ended up drawing discord as a clown. Also did some more general practice.

Daily Art Challenge - Day 84

This prompt was to make a sandwich that isn't quite right. I really couldn't think of anything until the last minute and ended up with a takodachi sandwich. Turned out rough but fun. I plan to redo the idea later in the year's challenge

Daily Art Challenge - Day 83

The first promptathon prompt was "Dead Or Alive" where the goal was to create a wanted poster.

After tossing some overly personal, political, and/or complicated ideas, I landed on a vending machine that keeps stealing people's money.

Daily Art Challenge - Day 82

Busy day so didn't do much drawing, still my confidence with digital seems to be steadily improving which is a good feeling. Starting tomorrow and for a week after that my posts will primarily be my submissions for #drawabox 's promptathon. Should be fun!

After doing those exercises I decided to mess with a signature design, and then rough out a side-profile head.
I think the signature came out pretty cute after a few iterations, and the head is probably the best attempt I've ever had at a side-profile. Overall I'm quite happy with today's practice

Daily Art Challenge - Day 81

Continued working on tablet coordination doing several drills. You can definitely tell I'm most comfortable drawing lines at a bottom left to top right slant thanks to draw-a-box, my circles/ellipses need a lot more practice, and pen pressure is alright.

Daily Art Challenge - Day 80

Working more on my tablet hand eye coordination today. Which resulted in drawing many ellipses, another rough face, and a few boxes. I'm finding my boxes are a bit more off in this medium right now and am working on it.

Daily Art Challenge - Day 79

Decided to spend some time doing some general practice drawing digitally. The final image is maybe 20% of the actual stuff that I sketched (need to use a bigger canvas next time). My hand eye coordination for this is in need of some serious practice.
