The 1950s were never really this way. Women were in the house because it took over 40 hours a week to maintain the home; today it's about 8 hours. The wife's workload was due to the separations from previous generations, where families lived together to help share the workload.

That does not mean they are good.

The entire DOGE thing is just theater. Government experts, such as Leon Panetta, have stated that to reduce costs, the government needs to expand and decrease its reliance on outside contractors. Increasing the size of the military would improve quality and reduce cost.
