My beautiful menace, Little Miss Artemis, is enjoying some hammy bits. We have breakfast in bed Tuesdays to Fridays. She is such a Queen, she refuses to eat like a cat. She uses her hands like the fur baby she is. She brightens my world!

Oh. My. Gods. I brought this shelf for my parents and my Dad is putting it together right now.

He had a problem with putting one of the screws into the hole. He just blurted out: “how the fuck did I ever manage to make any kids?!”

Today I decided I wanted a nice home cooked dinner. So, Shawn and I knocked out a roast beef with potatoes, carrots, gravy and Yorkshire puddings.
The roast is resting. The vegetables are just waiting in the oven (which we turned off). The gravy and Yorkshire’s are now calling to me! Smells amazing!
Freshly baked Yorkshire puddings in a muffin tin. Homemade gravy, on the stove awaiting the moment it will drench our dinner. Potatoes and carrots in a roasting pan in the over. There’s a shallow amount of beef broth in the bottom and onions for flavour. Our 2 lb roast beef with slivers of garlic atop the braised and seasoned exterior. It’s resting. For now.

I made breaded portobello strips in the air fryer. Yum!🤤

Super easy recipe. It’s even Vegan, if you’re interested. Just make a water/flour batter. Then use panko bread crumbs, seasoned bread crumbs or a mix of both. Spice with your favourite spices. Air fry at 360F for 5 minutes, flip, then 5 min.

I bought two of these and am deadly curious whether they work. Apparently, they work using “bone conduction technology”.

I’m not big on lollipops, but I’ve been curious about these since I first saw them in a pop up online. I’ll keep everyone posted! 😃

Our cat, Oscar, is laying on a dresser next to our bedroom door. All you can see is the upper half of his head, about four feet from the ground. He’s hilarious! Oscar is a base white adult male cat with orange spots on his ears and near his nose. He has green eyes that are looking at me with a lazy air about him. Similar to the other image of Oscar’s head in the doorway, except now his little nose is showing. On the cat steps to the bed behind Oscar is Athena, sitting primly. Oscar’s head is blocking her head, but you can see her tortoise shell body. Oscar is sleeping deeply on the shelf in the washroom. His right front arm is hanging down and his head is tucked against the vertical side bar. There is a green hair twist on the shelf to help keep Oscar from falling off. Rather safe than sorry. Oscar is laying nobly on his little yellow cat chair.

Well, it’s been a while! I had to take a social media hiatus but I’m back!
A lot has happened lately but nothing unmanageable. Which is a bonus!
We’ve been in upgrade mode lately, which of course includes cat accessories!
For anyone in need of a kitten pick me up, I’ve got you! 😻😻😹😹
Athena is a Tortoise shell cat who loves to blep. This is a close up of her sweet kitten face as she sticks out just a tiny bit of her tongue. Artemis is cat napping in her new circular bed. She’s a base tan torbie cat with a bunch of black and tan stripes throughout her fur. This is Felix, an all grey barn cat with a love of food. He’s fluffy and has taken over our bed as he enjoys a little snooze. Here’s a photo of our late cat Willow, who was a silver Egyptian Mau. He’s snuggling with Oscar, who is a mostly white cat with orange spots on his head near the ears, by the right side of his nose (which is away from the camera) and his tail is orange. Willow was so excited to have cats to snuggle! He is missed every day (he passed away in 2017).

It’s been an unexpectedly busy couple of days, so please bear with me as I get myself caught up!
Last night I got to spend time with family and some friends I’ve known for almost 40 years! I feel so old saying that!😱
Today I went out book shopping with Dad, too. I’m quite excited about today’s find!
It’s a base black book with a gold filigree border. The border is about an inch and a half waist all the way around the cover, depicting many different scenes of people and things (I could take a whole day describing all the images within it). In the centre of the cover and border is the title: “Lost Book Of Spells” along with another gold filigree divider between the title and author’s name: Fiona Horne. Both the title and author’s name are written in a stunning deep red font that truly stands out and has a metallic gleam to each letter upon the stark black background. Sandy is on your left, I am next to her, James is to your right. And James’ obviously very cool son, Tyler, is sitting back looking chill while likely thinking old people are weird. We are at a restaurant/bar in the City of Tonawanda. There’s a wood table in front and behind us. Two non-alcoholic drinks are on the table in front of us. Behind us is a large and lovely stone fireplace. Sandy is on your left, I am next to her, James is to your right. And James’ obviously very cool son, Tyler, is sitting back looking chill while likely thinking old people are weird. We are at a restaurant/bar in the City of Tonawanda. There’s a wood table in front and behind us. Two non-alcoholic drinks are on the table in front of us. Behind us is a large and lovely stone fireplace. This image shows the inside cover art and the pages side of the book. The edges are dyed a deep metallic red. Where you see lines running down the sides, they correspond with the red and pink page that the covers attach to. It has a beautiful and artistic display of images which, when you look down the side of the book, lines up with the lighter lines of red. I’ve tried to capture the image to express what I am less capable of describing. My apologies.
