No one expects Congressional reporters to post "Hey, do any of you work for Senators that you want to talk shit about?" They chat, they walk the halls, they figure out sources.

Maybe didn't w USDA or OPM or whatever before, but the buildings are around and the protests could be sourcing opps.

Idk, I think the reddit post is mostly whatever. It's phrased pretty obtusely, but not the end of the world.

But in this thread are lots of journalists snarking about people not understanding their techniques. The kneejerk rejection of people who want well-sourced pavement-pounders is a lil much.

Pretty major protests the past few weeks. They also all work (or worked) in publicly known buildings, often in the same small region of the country.

Journalism as a vocation is not exactly in a position to sneer at people rn.
