Meanwhile, the bill provides ICE with $75 billion over four years. According to the Brennan Center for Justice, the $11.25 billion allocated specifically for detaining immigrants marks a 400% increase over last year’s budget and exceeds the Department of Justice’s 2026 budget request for the entire federal prison system.
