No worries. VS Code is easier to set up and use than PyCharm. The other two let you write code and run it in your browser. Also, if you want to learn by video, see if your local library has LinkedIn Learning. They have courses in small video chunks for Python and even the basics of programming.

PyCharm is a decked-out Carthaginian war elephant, and I get the sense you’d prefer a smaller one. Serenade.ai says it works with jupyter.org, Visual Studio Code, and Chrome too, so maybe a website like https://www.w3schools.com/python/python_compiler.asp will work. All have dark modes.

Have you looked at Serenade.ai? You could combine that w/ the free community edition of PyCharm to dictate code by voice. Learning, do you prefer books or video? If books, Humble Bundle has a great deal on 18 ebooks from No Starch for $36 — including their well-reviewed Python Crash Course 3e.

So, this is more than music. I’ve used it as a depression buster, including last winter. Brainwave entrainment, requires headphones. You can meditate or just go about your day. Don’t pause it, but you can do the two 30m chunks separately. On Apple Music. https://scientificsounds.com/product/beyond/

Choose your waterproof ink for the occasion — observation borne fm experience. 2mo ago, I put bright red ink (Sailor Studio 230) into a new pen. Didn’t know it had a piece of factory gunk stuck in the flow. Leaked all over my new couch. But it’s not waterproof, so I dabbed it all out w/ pen flush!

Sailor makes a pure black ink, Kiwaguro, same series as Seiboku. Same properties: water-resistant, pigmented, but well-behaved in the feed. This review of it then links to Platinum Carbon Black. Sample vial time?😏 https://fountainpenpharmacist.com/blog/ink-review-224-sailor-kiwaguro-pigmented-black

Revise later? But first, write thru what’s happened, for your eyes only. See Marinella, The Story You Need to Tell: Writing to Heal from Trauma, Illness, or Loss; Pennebaker, Expressive Writing: Words that Heal; Goldberg, Writing Down the Bones; Adams, Journal to the Self; Johnson, Leaving a Trace.

That’s a nice dark blue! Have you tried Sailor Seiboku? Unlike most inks, it’s water resistant — yet it won’t clog a pen’s feed as would an ordinary pigmented ink
