His name was Murphy

"We asked you to complete the well known saying
People who live in glass houses shouldn't ...
Well of course that was correct as it stands. People who live in glass houses, shouldn't."

Life becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy

Life is Final Fantasy X

We vow to defeat the calamity and bring the calm - and then you become the calamity instead and someone else vows to defeat you.

This dude is the master of r-type. He can defeat the second boss without even paying attention...

Our world is caught in a loop of creation and destruction like the world of Spira in Final Fantasy X. It's almost scary how profound that story is. A calamity emerges, a champion ventures to defeat it, and is defeated in the process to become the calamity so the cycle repeats.

People are supposed to be much much better than they are now.

We are fighting the final boss and we havent even got Cura.

Final Fantasy Villains are all about salvation through extermination - to relieve a lifetime of suffering. It sounded mad at first but now it takes total and complete sense.

Games today take longer to make than ever before - so why are they all inferior to the ones churned out year after year in the 1990s?

And If you didn't know

"The name Esuna (エスナ) in Final Fantasy and related games derives from Japanese words for "Eternal Status Cure," combining Eikyū (Eternal), Sutētasu (Status), and Naoshi/Nao (Cure/Heal), essentially meaning "Eternal Status Cure,"

News is called News because it stands for North East West South.

So 'news' from all over, far and wide.

Garak was right about The Boy Who Cried Wolf. The lesson from it being that you should never tell the same lie twice.

I am not 'verifying' anything by handing over my personal data.

This is not happening. Goodbye Blue Sky as Pink Floyd sang.
December 16, 2025 at 3:27 PM
Yeah I won't ever be doing this, BlueSky

You are not welcoming, you are being intrusive

Now i can't remove a notification permanently?

I absolutely won't be giving you my data for the excuse of verifying my age. This whole thing is abusive.
December 16, 2025 at 2:54 PM
Why do I now have a notification I can't get rid of in the 'chat' section?

I am not 'verifying' anything ... I am an adult I dn't care about adult content. Just remove the damn notification.

"You must complete age assurance in order to access this screen.
Due to laws in your region, certain features on Bluesky are currently restricted until you're able to verify you're an adult."

No they are not laws. None of this is actually 'lawful' ....

In Final Fantasy 8 the moon was full of monsters, and formed a giant eye shape. Meanwhile, a crystal pillar on 'earth' drew the monsters towards it in a giant stream of monsters (called the lunar cry) which poured from the heavens...

Still more convincing than the moon landing.

The failure of 2001s FINAL FANTASY THE SPIRITS WITHIN in the West is because audiences weren't (and aren't) prepared to try something new. It was such a long time ago to be trying something so ambitious and it's never been attempted again. It was just too innovative for them.
