The hollowing mechanic of this game is a major turn down, honestly, getting you HP halved sucks but at least the game gives you some resources like the ring of binding and there's an area where you can farm human effigies, hell even the anti-fatm mechanic can be exploited

And the game relies *too much* on gimmicks, which is kinda of... Weird? A lot of bosses can be bearable if you know what kind of gimmick the map is following, sometimes is not nearly as obvious like the windmill

I think the major problem of Dark Souls 2 is the design of "we need to pull every sort of bullshit just to piss the player off", there's a lot of situations which is just the game throwing an instakill trap on your way without any sort of hint or just spamming enemies on the map to gank you

anyways probably the hopeless feeling will be gone til next days but this shit is hitting harder in my daily life than usual, hate this so fucking much

at this point is easier to find a minimum wage job that has the worst possible routine ever, drop dead before my 30s than actually find a job for my field
