I get why American is America and I won't change 400 years of inertia in the English. But the term North America existing doesn't make it less annoying that I can't use the name of the continent for the continent.

I don't think you should use USian but in a weird way, as a foreigner from North America, I appreciate the thought a lot if you don't say you are American.

Like I get it will never happen but I don't think it is a stupid thing. Honestly, I just treat American as a cognate of americano in English. In Spanish it sounds stupid to use americano for Americans and I think they just mean different things in each language.
