design ➕ construction ➕ transit ➕ urbanism ➕ apps ➕ workflows
I liked the York United branding and colours but this honestly makes more sense. Now they need to move to an area that’s central, I.e lamport stadium

$50M per station?! That’s the cost of a brand new community centre. How can it possibly be that expensive to install 2 sets of platform doors?

There’s a petition at the link below. @paulafletcherto.bsky.social I hope you consider the safety of your constituents more important than 18 parking spots.

Seriously. This is a recipe for more micro units. The city needs to allow for larger buildings via height and rear yard setbacks.

A reserved lane for a bus every 10 mins is more justified than a reserved lane for parked cars, IMO.

Agree with the points about fixing the service

Instead of spending $100M on a permanent solution where people can cross at any time, the city is spending $135M to maintain/replace the ferries where we have to stand in line for an hour with hoards of people 🙄

"If a bus is carrying 30 people, I think that bus should have priority over a car or two cars that are carrying two people. Would I give priority to 30 people versus two people? Yes, I would," says Mayor Olivia Chow.

There’s nothing insane about adding density to an area where a subway is being built. NIMBY nonsense

506 feels like this all the time. 501,504 are quite reliable but there’s something about the 506 that isn’t working. Too long? Dunno.

It could be the terminus of a future Hastings/North Shore line, with stops at waterfront station and somewhere on Robson.

My only question, well it be 35k investor shoeboxes with kitchen walls in your living rooms?

Or, 35k actual livable units? Like the ones you see in 1970s-90s apartment buildings.
