Playing off-meta and having an okay time this standard. Deck is Orzhov Aristocrats in B03. Izzet Cauldron is still miserable, and it does often feel like a 4-turn format which is… not great, but there’s room for good games and some cool matchups on the whole. Really hope they axe 3-year standard.

The most recent in a short line of Gravepacts. It may be my favourite one, although I have an extreme fondness for Dictate of Erebos.
Sothera, the Supervoid {2}{B}{B} Legendary Enchantment Whenever a creature you control dies, each opponent chooses a creature they control and exiles it. At the beginning of your end step, if a player controls no creatures, sacrifice Sothera, then put a creature card exiled with it onto the battlefield under your control with two additional +1/+1 counters on it. I’ve gotten my Lightning (WR) goad/equipment deck to table a few times lately, and while it’s been pretty fun to play, and I’ve discovered some cool interactions, nothing has sparked joy quite like having Gogo copy Gilgamesh and the two of them just riffling through the deck looking for weapons.

I was in the zone so I just decided to try for the speed achievement after beating the game. Did it from memory, so I’m certain even a non-speedrunner could absolutely trounce this time with little effort and a prepared route. Hilarious how little of the game you need to actually play to ‘beat’ it.

Not sure how the % works because I know I’m missing some random collectibles, so I’m not SURE I fought every boss, but I did my best to find them all and fully explore. At least 8 or so of these hours were me finding quests, exploring, etc.

Incredible game.

This is my opinion on difficulty discourse in Silksong.
A tweet responding to one asking Team Cherry to release a pantheon for Silksong, stating: “Y’all say u want pantheon of pharloom but just u all wait till they hit you with that double savage beast fly Skarrsinger Karmelita’s Ant-Outrage, Verdant Dancers, and Great Geandmother Absolute Silk.” To which I responded with an image of a meme I altered to say “Me sowing: Haha tuck yeah!!! One of my favourite magic cards ever printed. Never getting over how cool it is.

Got her to table for the first time last night. Shockingly fun to pilot, and also marks the last mono-colour deck I needed to make to have them all represented. Thinking of filling out other colour-combos that I’m missing now.
The FF set was really good for me deckbuilding-wise. Lots of inspiration.
