I dream of a day without a dangerously close pass occurring

Had some positive results lately, but the usual nonsensical ones too. They've got to do something about consistency. Vision zero appears to be in the bin, the stats look bad. Drivers just get worse and worse each day, so many playing with phones.

In any other walk of like killing someone is manslaughter or murder, but in a car you can do it with minimal consequences.

Apparently, MOT expired 5 years ago. Perhaps the system is not up to date or there's some other excuse.

Can't beat a finger wagging letter.

That is absolutely dreadful. Sorry you had to experience that.

Attempting to kick someone off their seems more than just minor, as a victim, I'd expect a bit better than this.

I've seen someone, seemingly respectable, do this on Colchester town centre. Bike was parked perfectly, its just petty criminal damage.

I agree with Wolf. This is now a nationwide standard. Close pass, yes. Driver in bike box, yes. Driver on phone, you bet your arse they are!

Sorry to hear this Jon, but good to know you're doing what's best for you.

It's up there with Commando and Predator.

Speeds on London Road are eye watering sometimes. When i do drive, i get tailgated regularly by drivers wanting to go at A12 speeds.

Lots of drivers in a desperate rush, lots on phones, always busy, not a nice place to be. I'm rather alert to it from daily experience.

Just on my short ride home tonight, I was passed within inches by a traffic island. Then was honked at and verbally abused on a roundabout, because that's a great place to overtake. No point reporting, they're not interested in making roads safer.

Used to report regularly, hopeful that it would help driving standards improve and the safety of kids trying to get the school and my own. Rarely report now, it's very disappointing.

Fascinating, but not surprising.

That roundabout is hellishly dangerous, no one with any sense would do anything but concentrate on their driving there.

London Road, Lexden Road in Colchester in the mornings are the worst for it. Most with kids with them and baby on board stickers slapped on their windows.
