Podcasts & social media get their initial source of information fr. the NYTimes and WaPO. Then they put their opinion on top of it. They don't really do rigorous, on the ground, first source investigative reporting, that is edited and fact checked. The best reporterrs are still only at legacymedia.

I noticed too. Wrote a letter to the editor. So sad. I think they have the best journalists in the world, but the editorial staff is squashing the message. However, they are the first source of information and facts for all the talking heads and podcasts. so what are we going to do without them.
