Just a guy sitting and thinking on a hill on Oahu.
Laudable. But if that were really the case why include the call for public action in last paragraph?

What is Jeffries trying to say here? Genuinely confused. If he is trying to say don’t turn the National Guard into urban street cops and exposed to risks for which they are not trained , say that. If instead he thinks there was something that would have prevented this ambush, say that.

Bone saws happen

No suspense here. Question is: will public pressure be too much once he does this?

Horrible headline. Not true. He supports GOP voting for the House bill. Gamesmanship.

I think he is the chief law enforcement officer. All the norms we thought we written down (like separation of Justice from the White House, remember Clinton tarmac meeting?)were
sound governance principles. If you can tell Pam Bondi what to do, then you are chief, right?

Funny graphic!! But lame duck? just 72 hrs ago he (through sheer madness and cruelty no other President would even consider) won a shutdown that preserved billionaire tax breaks.

please.. stop underestimating voters? the same ones that voted or did not vote in 2024?
November 12, 2025 at 6:38 PM
Unpopular opinion: getting a vote on subsidies which will of course lose is not a nothing. It can be valuable against every R Senator next November. But prolonging this game of shutdown chicken could turn public opinion against both Dems and Rs whereas now Dems are not largely blamed

CBS is now state news. That’s why.

quelle horreur!
October 29, 2025 at 8:39 PM
what a stupid graphic. if you show 2020 where people were reasonably concerned the end of the world as they knew it was near compared to 2024 or any other time, of course the emotional health of people improved.

I clicked on the link in the article and reviewed the SCOTUS opinion cited. That case arose in a different context and involved a question other than corporate powers and in my view does not support what the authors of the article lead the reader to suppose.
October 19, 2025 at 10:28 PM
No. Corporate laws give corporate powers. My state can’t tell P&G how to run its board meetings even if they are held in Hawaii. They might be able to limit how soap is sold here but that’s operational and not corporate. (I practiced corporate law 32 years)

Not really much of a solution unless Delaware (corporate home for 99 percent of large cap companies) were to change its corporate law, unfortunately.
October 19, 2025 at 8:33 PM
outrageous. many of us are sorry we have an idiot and Russian asset for President.
October 17, 2025 at 10:22 PM
“looks serious”? you means as compared to downright laughable as in the Comey and James cases?
October 17, 2025 at 6:25 AM
This isn’t governmental deception, right? this is apparently Goldman Sachs? If so they are of course guessing but hard to attribute bad motive
October 17, 2025 at 12:47 AM
If you are Franklin, you will now look resigned and humbled, express appreciation to the Administration and fans for all the support and your eternal
love for Penn State, and when you get home you with will pop the champagne. $45 million?? That’s insane! Good for him.
