USAF retired. Geeky gardener. I love to travel and read. Of course I love my family to pieces, but my schnauzer has a special place in my heart.
MTG reminds me of J.R. Ewing in the T.V. series, Dallas. You never knew which J.R. would show up during the show’s long run. I always liked it more when the conniving, deceitful, brash J.R. showed up, rather than the J.R. who displayed his “sensitive” side. Can’t wait for the next season of MTG.

Personal professional survival over country, and/or party over country. Voting them out seems to be the only viable option. They aren’t going to change. Trump is not going to change.

It’s a toss up. Headlines because of what Trump said? Or headlines that Americans are so ignorant that they don’t know it is a duty, under the UCMJ, of military members not to follow illegal orders?

That’s not how that works for huge insurance companies. He’s a doctor. He knows better.

What could go wrong? I can’t believe I was born and raised in FL, and chose to retire here after living all over the country. What was I thinking?

Marsha, Marsha, Marsha. Have someone read UCMJ Article 92 very slowly to you. It is the duty of a military member to refuse an unlawful and/or illegal order. Next, she’ll say nothing that SECDEF is ordering is illegal.

A complimentary book, The Art of the Deal, will be sent to all Americans receiving a tariff check. The valuable nuggets of advice in that book will help them negotiate and secure a beautiful health care policy like never seen before.

I’m patiently waiting for another “Wait a minute. I've gotta stop you“ moment when Hassett starts blathering about the 30% inflation rate during the Biden administration.

You must be fun at parties

I‘m reminded of the old saying, “You reap what you sow.” Nancy Pelosi, AOC, Jasmine Crockett, David Hogg, Ilhan Omar and many others can probably relate. That said, harmful threatening rhetoric has no place in our society, and we must vociferously condemn it.

He endorsed Trump 3 times. 99% of his votes have been along party lines. He’s not seeking re-election in 2026. He’s quietly watched the MAGA freak show from the sidelines. Silence is complicity as far as I’m concerned.
November 14, 2025 at 8:45 PM
He’s a representative who’s not running for re-election in 2026. He endorsed Trump three times. Now he speaks out
November 14, 2025 at 8:41 PM
They‘re required to use the ACA marketplace. This was in the ACA that Obama signed into law. BUT, If they’re self insured, or have coverage through a spouse’s health care plan, the VA/military, or Medicare they don‘t have to use the marketplace. Not enough are feeling the pain of rising premiums.

Bacon endorsed trump three times. He will not run for re-election in 2026. That’s why you’re hearing from him now.

The representative is not running again. He endorsed Trump three times

I expect Adelita Grijalva will bring him up to speed on the latest story right after her swearing in ceremony.
November 12, 2025 at 2:38 PM
I wish she would ask Johnson to step out of the camera frame during the obligatory picture taking after her swearing in. I doubt she would step to his level of pettiness, but it would be fun to watch.
November 12, 2025 at 12:10 PM
That would mean kicking the lobbyists out of the Capitol building and refusing campaign donations. FAT CHANCE!

Oh, you mean give us back OUR money?

He’s correct when there are a large group of people being sworn in. I did it several times while in the Air Force

Someone needs to teach him how to salute
November 7, 2025 at 10:45 PM
…And I’m going to be running for Governor for the great state of Georgia, so I have a lot of fences to mend. I’m practicing hypocritical kindness to anyone who may have been offended by my rude, boorish unprofessional behavior. It’s all in the past.

Please NO! We can’t handle anymore down here.

Hegseth’s ineptness as SecDef is due to the guy who:
1. nominated him
2. surrounds himself with advisors with limited to no NatSec expertise, and no military experience.
3. approves and/or directs these operations.
4. couldn’t find Nigeria on a map until yesterday

It starts and ends at the top.
