(Two exams later…) I think I misremembered. The book mentioned several quotes from Devilman, but not that one. I’m dating the idea at Devilman’s first publication, for now, but it might have mutated from Nietzsche. I’m going to ask the author if I can reach them.

That said, related question: do kijo always need divine intervention to become serpentine, or is raw emotion enough? Talking mostly about Kiyohime since she’s the easiest to find info/art on.

This is why I asked before misinforming people. I know one of my books on oni mentioned it, but I’m pretty sure it was still in the context of Devilman. I wasn’t sure if it was a reference to one of anime’s greats or something older and deeper. I said I’d keep digging. Thanks!

As to Open AI Ethics - there are none.
Fact: a simple AI query uses roughly 10x KwH then a conventional search engine, in a world already struggling with energy issues. This proves the narcissism of tech industry.
They aren’t using that energy to cure cancer. No, they just want bespoke erotica.
