First of all, the difference between the mood of the opening theme song and the actual plot is wild af. How you go from ✌🏽💃🏽🕺🏽🪩✨ in the opener and 🎯🔪🩸☠️ in the story?!

I’m not sure how I want to engage this platform yet, but this feels right and noncommittal so I’m just gonna let it happen okay byyyeeeee

What I love about writing is that there are literally a bajillion ways to approach the craft. There are still a bajillion things that I don’t know about myself as a writer and that’s a beautiful fucking thing in a world obsessed with permanence.

But in shifting to the play format, instead of agonizing over how I want to paint a scene with my words, I can just intuitively feel it out and put stage directions instead 😮 which gives the work creative freedom to live in new ways off the page, or based on how someone’s reading the script

Being in my MFA program has taught me that I tend to get REALLY bogged down in the details— so much so that my story can get lost in my attempts to describe something in non relevant ways
