For the record, as someone who isn't American, I feel mostly... apathetic about his death. But learning about what he stood for colors my perception of his life a lot more negatively. A lot of these peers of mine are also aware but choose their "Christianity" over the marginalized and needy.

Oh well. At least now I know who among these people I can consider as safe.

I'm so tired of having to hide who I am from these people and pretending everything's fine.

To some of these people, it's far more important for people to be evangelized or "Christian" (in their terms. Catholics not welcome.) than to actually empathize with the people around them.
