+ There are also a LOT of tutorials people make, either as posts themselves (as you can post non-characters as resources now!) or in the forums to help others. I often see people helping others out by making and taking requests on things too. I'd consider that another social aspect of it personally!

who are very active will buy (like myself xD)
HTML is as simple as pasting a code in and replacing all the temporary text to look how you want. Many coders are kind enough to leave notes and guides in their codes as well!

most html/css can be posted raw.
As for the CSS/HTML bit, there are plenty of premade codes to use! I wouldn't say the skill barrier is any different than what it was during deviantart until you want to use CSS - something that is not required, and you need premium for, which I imagine only those

Not really! The forums are pretty active (though chaotic) and people spread words via bulletins (like journals) often. Worlds also have forums and bulletin features. I found and play on my favourite art RPG entirely on site. Sharing art can be as easy as just sharing the gallery link, and -

I think there are other ways that people use worlds for social things. But there are def some social aspects to it all, they're just more focused on original characters like art fight.
It's def not the same as Back In The Day on DA but as an active user it feels pretty close in it's unique way

There's also a thriving community for art rpgs on there. Some in tandem with discord servers or unique websites, but plenty hosted solely on toyhouse worlds (THs equivalent to groups) where ppl can make art for themselves or others to progress. A lot migrated from deviantart too.

It is for most people! But it can also be pretty social if you find the right spaces. I'd also consider sharing HTML, CSS, and other customizations for your pages and characters a way of socializing and building community.

I think on dA days it felt more natural so ppl didn't rlly realize they played into it. They just did what they liked & it worked. The way the site was set up encouraged it. But it's so different now. Instead of uplifting each other, we're fighting for scraps in a shit economy worldwide. Sucks.

The "people want a store" part is so true though. And I get it! People wanna live off their art. And back in dA days, more community = more engagement = it felt easier to get commissions. But I think people forget that to make money off art you gotta play the social game too.
