Took a trip to an orchard to do an apple tasting a little while ago. Came back home with a few bags, so I sliced ‘em, spiced ‘em, and made some pastries out of them. I ought to get some caramel so I can made a proper croquembouche next time. #baking 🍽️

Made a Millionaire’s Bacon style sourdough loaf with pancetta, dates, & spices, simmered in Grand Marnier and a pinch of brown sugar.
Already delicious, but I think I can punch up the flavor if I tweak the ratios a little more.

Black Garlic Sourdough
Slow caramelized my own garlic for about 3 weeks. Minced a couple heads of it and worked it into my sourdough. Basted one with some chili garlic crunch to give the crust a little kick.
So good it’s already gone. 🍽️
