I'm not gonna change my opinion on Walmart for this, but I appreciate the gesture, and the realities that would pressure them to it, regardless of how superficial it may be. It's a sign of progress, and indeed when companies normalize these opinions, they help everyday people consider them too.

I'm beyond expecting more of major corporations, but I take solace in knowing that their numbers have convinced them that even feigned acceptance is more profitable than hatred. Target is evidence that capitalism wants inclusion, and there's plenty of evidence that capitalism gets what it wants.

What gets me about them, is like, lots of corporations are greedy, but Target clearly isn't doing this for that. Shareholders speak time and time again, including through TGT directly, and show they understand the value of DEI. Target is willfully losing money for no reason but to oppress.
