One of my mantras about workers' rights, workplace protections, and consumer protections: All regulation is written in blood. Sometimes the blood is metaphorical, but most of the time, it's literal.

I actually define selfishness differently than whomever said this. Selfish is when I meet my needs at the expense of another. If we benefit mutually, then it’s not selfish.

Agreed! I have never dropped from a match voluntarily (though I have had internet blips from time to time). I have dropped out of non-competitive co-op play sometimes when it seems clear that we just aren't going to make it today.
