Charlotte’s daughter has a new boyfriend, and he totally sucks... 🧛🏻‍♂️

Sure, teen love bites, but the way they stare hungrily into each other’s eyes makes Charlotte worry they’re taking the phrase a bit too literally. Across the street, Ian is the uncle-turned-caretaker for two freshly minted orphans. His shiny life insurance house is a fresh start, until he bumps into Charlotte, the one night stand from which he never recovered. He’s in over his head, so he’s relieved when his nephew, Jack, throws himself into an internship. The school librarian would be the perfect mentor, if it weren’t for the wooden stake Ian finds sandwiched between Jack’s overdue books. Charlotte grapples for control while Sadie disappears for long stretches and gets into screaming matches with friends. She’s even worried someone is peering through their windows at night. Charlotte’s only distraction is the spark reigniting between herself and Ian. But when he discovers vampires thanks to a mysterious podcast and several Ring cameras, it drives a wooden stake into the heart of their second chance romance. Ian is desperate for action, while Charlotte hunts for normalcy. Then the local teens kill a monster in the chem lab, and Charlotte can’t ignore the truth anymore. One dead vampire only lures more to their small town, and the increasingly feral kids seem to think they’re Buffy Summers. Charlotte and Ian must get their teens away from monsters before Jack joins his parents and Sadie makes a choice she can’t take back.
