Gotta have priorities. I never played Halifax, but did Leeds and Bradford a number of times. I loved playing in the north. Honestly would have preferred to move there than London, but opted for Berlin because it was (at that point) cheaper.

It was a weird time, there were so many bands who should have been bigger imho. Mid 2000s it felt like everything got centralised and if you weren't regularly playing in London you might as well not exist. Almost everyone who packed up to London from Bristol ended up doing alright.

He is also named Julian, he's an Australian that set up the NK space in Berlin with his then wife, I think he lives in Portugal now. We haven't really spoken in a while.
