The TV show CHiPs had the motorbikes as stars, similarly the movie The World’s Fastest Indian (which is a bloody great film IMO) is all about a NZ old timer looking to beat a world speed record on his motorbike. Quite a few movies about speedway riders too.

There’s definitely a space for “functional” music.

I found that Led Zeppelin’s “Black Dog” plus speed was the perfect accompaniment to oven cleaning.

At Chris’s With His Missus, used to listen a lot in an office with my colleagues when we were in doing overtime. She got dropped pretty quickly after that IIRC.

Came up with the perfect way to keep warm walking to see friends on the other side of our student campus on a freezing night. A hot baked potato wrapped in silver foil for each coat pocket which we’d then eat at the destination.
On the way back we’d be too blitzed to care about the cold.
