So I finally watched Gretel & Hansel (2020) yesterday, and like it wasn't perfect but I actually think a lot of the criticisms I've seen of this movie are kind of unfair?

Being able to draw is neat because even if a ship makes objectively no sense and no one cares about, you can make it exist anyways (also this will annoy @numberknower.bsky.social which I think is funny)

The literal only thing I knew about The Handmaiden (2016) going in was that a lot of people used to post aesthetic gifsets of this movie on Tumblr, so I kinda expected like a slow mellow movie that's more about the cinematography and WOW THAT'S NOT WHAT THIS IS

So I watched The Shape of Water last night, and this movie was so gorgeous and lovely, but I will say that if he ate MY cat I would tell my roommate that her merman boyfriend that she liberated from the research facility could no longer stay with us

Finally watched Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers yesterday, and yeah this was very funny, I knew I'd enjoy it because everyone talked about how surprisingly good it was, but man I just couldn't ever get past the ugly ass "2D" that was just poorly done cgi

I'm pretty sure the movie my mom thought The Last Unicorn was, was Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, which we owned on VHS and I DID watch countless times. I think these movies were the biggest cinematic wins that horse girls ever got.

Continuing my pattern of watching animated movies I never got around to as a kid. Funny enough, as the horse girl I was, I often begged my mom to check this one from the library for me, and she always insisted that I'd already seen it a million times (I had not)

Man I tend not to complain about webtoons updates, because regardless of how the app looks I can still read tons of amazing stories totally for free, but this update is so garbage. Why do I need to scroll to see my series?? Why is there a fucking tik tok tab now????
