Read the article. Didn’t say I believe anything. I’ll clarify. A birth cert. is not proof that her mother didn’t have an affair or experience rape; it’s not proof that BS-M wasn’t adopted by Mr. Saint-Marie w/o documentation of adoption, which could easily have been hidden from other family members.

Anyway, the question could be resolved by sequencing to see if she carries a Beringian haplotype unique to those with Native American ancestry.

Apparently her brother Alan wrote letters to several newspapers denying his sister’s possible Native American ancestry. Have to wonder about his motive for doing so.

Indeed. The paperwork, including birth certificate, does not prove whether the purported parents, especially the man, on her birth certificate were her biological parents. BS-M said her mother told her she was adopted. Perhaps by Mr. Saint-Marie? She looks *nothing* like her brother.
