I would just comment that many powerful white men send emails riddled with spelling and grammar issues. It's not because they're stupid. It's to show they can't be bothered to review before hitting send. Let the recipient figure out what they're saying.

Power is the constant; resistance is the variable. This is why I, too, blame the collaborators who supposedly represent us far more than the entirely predictable villains they supposedly oppose. They're more hostile to us - their base - than to their pals across the aisle.

The data suggest that young men are not in any kind of massive crisis. Their dads, however feel threatened by changing norms, and project their misgivings on to their (literal and figurative) sons. The kids are alright.

What did men do to deserve this? They created this exact version of the world, trashed by rapacious capitalism and white patriarchal norms. Practicing resistance and repair would heal them as well as the planet.

Given the choice between sharing power with marginalized people and losing elections, they absolutely will lose elections, return to the private sector, and preserve their privilege for generations to come.
