here's a little showcase from yesterdays stream! i built a new layout for my #unity vtuber app with simulated mouse tracking! this uses some IK stuff to match my mouse position, controlled by two different blendspaces for posing, some easing, combined with tracking from #warudo for my chest and head

I've been messing around with custom normals recently for anime modeling. I needed some more examples, so I just made a public reference sheet with different characters viewed from different light & cam angles. Mostly ArcSys models here. Ill add more later. Links below.

the best part of the individual control is performing this rolling action. this isnt exactly keyable right now, until i hook it up to some other mechanism (idk how im doing that yet)

setup some macro finger controls for my hand rig inspired by something dillion goo showed off a year ago. currently only have a simple fist pose, but it works on an individual finger basis so you can isolate or delay. you can still tweak the result, and the constraints are all hidden for baking #b3d

playing dmc 2 for the first time and im nerding out over the gun poses. the way he just randomly shoots at other enemies with his offhand feels so sick. idk if this isnt in the other games or if ive just never noticed before

rethinking the way i do block outs, focusing on deformation and proportions first, making sure to rig even earlier for certain things. trying an anatomy based approach and im happy with how it poses so far!
