Athena had multiple aspects and things get even trickier considering how the greek pantheon adjusted over time. there are some gods and goddesses we barely know about bc some were only local and not worshipped in every polis. so it explains why some gods have similar domains.

that's afaik a simplified version. Athena and Ares are both gods of war but not the same war.
Athena is strategy, justice, and defense: war as wisdom.
Ares is chaos, bloodlust, and ego: war as destruction.
Some city states valued one over the other. Sparta honoured Ares other cities feared Ares.

it's a weird thing to nake small talk about imho but Pallas Athena is a Goddess of War. She represents the intellectual and civilized part of war, as well as justice and skill.
