I didn't post for months again. My library put me on Facebook adimn duty and that eats up all the energy I can give to posting.
And we had some frost, so the garden and fields changed.

To capture beauty of rosa canina (šipak, divlja ruža, rosehip, wild rose) bush flowering, one needs much better camera then mine is. But here is a shy spider in a flower, reminding us that flowers are not just for beauty, they are food, and shelter, the world.

Caltha palustris (kaljužnica, kopitac, marsh marigold) are very pretty but do not pick them. Sap iritates skin, and plant is not safe to eat.

Please note that it can be mistaken for some similar plants that are deadly poisonus so be extra careful. Check *every* leave.

Allium ursinum (srijemuš, medvjeđi luk, ramps) is a perennial that grows in the shade of european forests. The smell of wetland forest mixed with it's garlicky smell is very enjoyable. It's delicious and healthy and I see more people pick them every year.

Dipsacus sativus L. (češljugivina, teasel) and Carduus ascanthoides L. (stričak, thistle) both grow big and prickly so I'm transplanting them on the edge of my garden in hope it will put off hogs from munching in my mulch.

Asparagus acutifolius (šparoga) is a wild evergreen plant. Sprouts are foraged in early spring. One very patient guy learned how to grow them from seeds. We planted three last week. 🤞🌱
