Retired software engineer making amorphous and head-scratching music incorrectly, and VCV Rack modules that are pretty good. Both are done under the name "Stochastic Telegraph".
Ah, possibly a replacement for the GameTrak controllers that some laptop orchestras use? Helpful, since the company that made them is long defunct.

I might be wrong, but it looks to me like "all" means 1. Show new videos on my Subscription page and 2. Send me a notification for each new video. "Personalized" means just #1. Maybe.

Given that it's been visible in the more recent other videos in this series (www.youtube.com/@MicdMedicat...), probably? I mean...I wouldn't object to that being in my house.

Given that the US is a very large pool of (internationally speaking) well-off people who might have NN thousands to lose, it would be odd if it were otherwise. It makes perfect market sense to target people in the US.

Me in high school:

Beatles: A lot
The Who: I know the hits.
Rolling Stones: Am I allowed to prefer them over The Beatles?
Led Zeppelin: Who?

Me decades after high school:

Beatles: Been decades
The Who: no
Rolling Stones: Certain phrases make me recall them!
Led Zeppelin: Been a couple decades

Ha! That's fabulous. I'm at a loss to explain what I was going for, but it's my first generative musical composition. Thanks!

For a piece of revered literature, it's shockingly entertaining.

I think the satellite images are only refreshed every 5-10 minutes or so. The site doesn't seem to support refreshing, but there are auto-refresh plugins for Chrome.

The depth of fog is really hard to know from the ground; after all, if it was a few feet thick but centered on your head, how would you know? That's why I check fog.today frequently. Today was actually really sunny this morning in the Haight and the Presidio; check out the time lapse buttons.

One of the things that keep NYC (and San Francisco, and...) enjoyable is that writing like this convinces people who believe them not to live in those places.

It DID sound different today. Just a single note, instead of the three notes wavering about that I've heard before. Not windy enough to bring out the other two? Changes to bridge are changing it?

As a train was approaching the W 4th St station, Cillian Murphy me if it went to Times Square. But because I was a tourist who was only visiting art museums (I was going to PS 1 that day), *I didn't actually know where Times Square was*, so I could only respond, "Sorry, I can't help you."

The predecessor to Monopoly had two sets of rules; one for competitive play, and one for co-op. The former was supposed to be unenjoyable, illustrating the benefits of economic cooperation. www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkQi...

Looking at ACRNM's website, I can easily imagine a few of the models were also at the show.

The Golden Gate, the actual space between SF and Marin, is so much its own climate zone. Mostly I notice this because of the ways the bridge sonifies the hyperlocal weather.

Moving from directly from dare -> double dog dare is a bit of a faux pas, if I recall?

I've long wondered what the effects would be if police pulled people over and gave them rewards for especially good driving.
