It's another NOA day!

So happy and relieved to finally get this. What started out as a crazy idea pitched to the @wu-ciliopathygroup.bsky.social team a couple of years ago is now a fully funded project.

Major thanks to NHLBI for continuing to fund our work on motile ciliopathies 🙏

So how would this work?

Let's say NIH doesn't allow us to spend more than $500 grant money on an OA publication. And what if journals say "screw you" to the NIH, we're going to keep changing our current fees.

Today is one of those good days in this job. My former postbac Chidera stopped by to tell me he got into med school, and in his hometown to boot!
This kid tried soooo hard for so long to get this… I’m buzzing for him👏👏

Soooo... did a thing yesterday 🇺🇸

I've been eligible to be a citizen for a long time, but never felt the need (I'm a proud Canadian & always will be ❤️). But these are dark times, and every voice/vote/person counts. Who knows what the 🤡 will try next. #NoKings #NoKingsProtest
