I see the hegseth/trump speeches as absolute failures. they laid out their blatant authoritarian objectives to the senior military leadership. this naked attempt to intimidate them will fortify their commitment to democracy. we put our ultimate trust in them. if they fail, our democracy fails.

I hope it's clear to everyone now that Trump really is going for it - he's trying to become a dictator. I don't know if he'll succeed, but he's working to install himself as an autocrat unaccountable to voters. And he's weaponizing the military against Americans who oppose him as part of that effort

I'm expecting the supreme court to say trump has to the power to renege on contracts and stiff payees across entire government organizations - forcing payees to sue individually.

Essentially legalizing impoundment after the fact and bye, bye full faith and credit of the USA.

I'm completely fed up with the polarization and outright animosity in our political system. It's toxic.

We need our political leaders to bring our country back together, not drive us farther apart.

Everyone needs to do this.

i feel maga is essentially about white male grievance and their inability to accept the increase in ethnic and cultural diversity in our society (including women, maga is misogynistic).
