So…essentially…if one party gives in, millions lose healthcare, and if the other one does, millions lose their food assistance.

We are so broken.

When will we stop looking at it as us and them?

While rewatching The Shining tonight, I realized one of the reasons the renderings of the new ballroom have bothered me so much: The Gold Room at The Overlook Hotel. It’s a vibe.

Find the common ground. It may feel like an impossible task. But dig in and find it. That connection can change everything.

I’m so tired of the “there are no manuals for parenting” trope.

There are. There are a ton of them. You may not choose to read them. You may not agree with them. They may not cover everything. But they absolutely exist.

1. Lead with love.
2. Be kind.
3. Treat others the way you wish to be treated.

It’s not hard, people. It really isn’t. Though I know it seems to get harder every day. Hang in there.

Atty & former rabbi Jonathan Gross is just that. Comparing the prosecution of the J6 rioters to the attempts at genocide by the Nazis is beyond disrespectful of the memories of those lost. Shame on him. And now appointed to a federal commission charged with implementing similar tactics?

I sure hope I’m wrong, but I feel like Donald is going hand the keys to Alaska over to Vladimir. I’m not right, right? That’s just crazy talk…isn’t it?

In honor of Juneteenth: “Great nations don’t ignore their most painful moments. They don’t ignore those moments of the past. They embrace them. Great nations don’t walk away. We come to terms with the mistakes we made. And in remembering those moments, we begin to heal and grow stronger.” Joe Biden

Changing the world for the better doesn’t always have to happen in grand gestures. It can be as simple as a smile to a stranger, or listening to a friend, meeting someone on their frequency. Every good vibe you put out there counts.

Can we just celebrate good works of good people more already? Make that the exciting news.

Every time something absurd comes out from this administration, I think they’ve peaked in the absurdity. And then the next day comes.

Can we save the existing animal populations first before trying to repopulate extinct species, please? Thanks.

Make America Kind.

I don’t think “again” really works as I’m not sure as a nation, collectively, we really ever have been. Truly kind. With no expectation of reciprocation or acknowledgement. Have we?

It’s not hard to want what’s best for everyone. It’s hard agreeing on what’s best for everyone. It’s also important to be specific. Saying food security, health care and shelter for all seems obvious. But one can secure all those things in prison, too.

I just wanna be sure I understand this: people of a certain demographic are upset that their demographic was not represented during the SuperBowl half-time show. Is that right? They are miffed because there was no diversity in the cast, and it wasn't equitable and they feel excluded? Uh huh. OK.

“Under Senate Rule VI, paragraph 2, Senators are required to attend all sessions of the Senate unless they are excused. The Senate operates on the assumption that a quorum is present re- gardless of how few or how many are in attendance, until some- one suggests the absence of a quorum.”

Really?

I’ve never seen a man-o-war in reality…this was quite a trip (and I almost tripped over it) funding not one but three on the beach the other day. Tide was coming in and that was a much safer solution as these can sting even when no longer alive apparently.

Well…if that ain’t some Supreme Leader sounding crap…

“memo issued by the acting head of HHS…to refrain from most external communications, such as issuing documents, guidance or notices, until such documents can be approved by "a presidential appointee."
