I think it's very important to note that the use of AI here is both incredibly specialised and something that still has human oversight.
"The AI model predicts this will happen here, which is what we want to see, so lets test if that ACTUALLY happens" rather than just taking it at its word.

It's very funny to me that in FF1 the speedrun spends the game going boss-to-boss hiding from random battles, not just because fighting them is a time loss, but because a handful of ghouls in an early dungeon is genuinely scarier than the final boss would be if they could skip there directly.

Often corpos do this exact thing just to gauge if they can get away with a change they already know people won't like. "We're gonna do this anyway, how much backlash is coming our way?"

Even here on bluesky, I have no idea who you as a person are even though I'm getting your posts firsthand. I saw someone else repost your art, I liked it so I checked out your profile and saw more art I liked, so I hit follow. "Draws art I like seeing" is largely the extent of my knowledge of you.

Mostly the reddit format doesn't really do well with investigating sources? You're getting an image secondhand and it looks cool or whatever, so lets upvote it.
Unless someone who knows the artist/issue goes "hey that's a problem" and it's actually against the rules nothing is gonna happen about it.
