So everyone needs to stop talking about subsidising or licensing our way out of this now, and start pumping that investment into the well paid Green jobs of the future.

Transitioning to renewables is not only essential for the planet, it's the only thing that makes economic sense now. We can't subsidise our way out of this. Despite decades of new licenses from Westminster, North Sea oil is still too expensive to make it worthwhile now.

Was lovely to see you again Maggie! The soup at lunchtime really hit the spot. I have dug out a knitting pattern for fingerless gloves though, will see how quickly I can knock a pair up!
