the idea is not all that counts. the idea is nothing at all until it has been lassooed, corralled, mutated, shuffled, blended with other ideas, and then expressed over the medium of however many thousand words that you have selected and arranged as best you can. the idea is a promise, not a book.

I wouldn't call it sol; it's a long-format bildungsroman that's taking careful time to set up its themes (joy of magic, systematic inequality between witches and civilians). It has the most striking artwork I've seen in a manga. I dont think you'd like it since it hasn't "dug deep" until recently
