Ruddy Shelduck ♂ (presumed escaped) in Osterley Park today, and he had adopted four Egyptian goslings. Very attentive parenting too; warning loudly when dogs approached, chased off a Coot and went after a Grey Heron and chased it off midair! #InterspeciesAdoption #LondonBirds #LowCarbonBirding

A bird pooped on my hand today and with the associated luck I got to witness The Tubs (Lan guested too!) play a fucking BLINDER at OSLO Hackney tonight! Thank you, bird! Buy their 5* album Cotton Crown, see them live and be well. #LiveMusic

Stumbled upon a singing Firecrest in Regent's Park yesterday, and he had a female in tow, carrying food (bottom left 2nd pic). Would be amazing if they were to become a breeding bird in central London. 🤞🏻 Also FOY Woodcock over then into Wetland Pen this morning. #LondonBirds #LowCarbonBirding

Its a scarce breeding bird in the UK, usually a few pairs mixed in with Black-headed gull colonies in the south. Mega for inner London though!

Mediterranean Gull in Regent's Park this afternoon, proper #UrbanBirding patch ✅ gold! Initially picked up on call but with my camera still packed away it quickly flew off, arrgh! Luckily it returned a few minutes later and actually landed for a bit. #LondonBirds #LowCarbonBirding #TeamGull

Needed to cycle over to patch tick a Teal 🙄 on Hampstead Heath today. Nasty windchill factor, I nearly lost my fingers & toes to frostbite! 🥶 Teal was snoozing under branches but the overwintering Dartford warbler obliged for a second or two. #LondonBirds #LowCarbonBirding

Everyone's favourite UK mollymawk for the final #SeabirdSunday #SuperSeabirdSunday of the year: the returning Black-browed Albabtross at Bempton Cliffs RSPB Reserve, taken on July 4th, 2021. Hoping to see many more albatrosses on the upcoming Flock to Marion trip next month. 🤞🏻 #F2M
