Sorry about my slow response. "Commitments" haven't been articulated, so one guesses, and too often we inflate the impact of our work and lie to ourselves and others. Because we do not have criteria, review committees, e.g. promotion, accept these lies. It's both humorous and pernicious.

DEI commitments are criteria for faculty evaluation at UVIC, at least in Education, though what is enough or good is not specified. There are also required "trainings", say, to be on a hiring committee.

Good idea.
