Jeg bruger protonmail som alternativ til Gmail. Det er betalt, men den pakke jeg er på inkluderer en password manager og vpn. Alle pengene værd, imo. De har også cloud storage, og er på vej med alternativer til Google Docs osv.

If I want to chat with my friends I can either do it through Signal with no companies spying or with private companies spying. It's such a failure of government.

E.g., Denmark, my home country, is rapidly moving towards a mostly digital interface with government services but provide no real technological infrastructure for this, that isn't reliant on American big tech (maybe some countries do have this, but I don't know)

I will have to catch this episode, but my immediate thoughts are that governments world wide (including largely socialist countries have simply failed in regards to tech. There currently (afaik) is no middle ground between pro-privacy and pro big tech, and there really ought to be.
