Republicans are staking everything on the decency of Democrats, writing a bill with absolutely no input or negotiations and hoping Democrats will just go along with it because they actually care about consequences.

I expect Republicans to be disingenuous in their portrayal of things, but it was VERY off-putting to watch Jeffries call it a mandate as well.
I sometimes expect our leaders in Congress to have at least a little bit better conception of reality, but they can be just as influenced by social media

I'm losing my mind. How does Trump pardoning Adams make the prosecutors job easier? They don't have to obtain leave of the court (which they would easily get if it's an agreed dismissal?) that's zero effort.

I fail to see how this rebuts the damning footnote about advocation for quid pro quo at all.
It doesnt address the quid pro quo at all, and the reason he didn't want notes is because... they may leak? Am I supposed to think this is a standard assumption and not just a pretext for hiding the crime?

This was my problem. I had an instinct to defend the article because I think digging a little deeper into econ stats can be good, but it provided no context for that number vs other periods, so it was effectively meaningless
