This is a loving, honest, beautiful picture of a queer black boy. As it is a #bannedbook I expected something a little more raw. Even though the characters are flawed, this is a book of understanding, love and growth. Highly recommend. #allboysarentblue #georgemjohnson

The fact that an angry woman kills rapists is enough reason to read this book. I could have done without the influencer (OMG you only have 10.000 followers, get away from me) setting. But in 70 years this may be considered a quaint sign of the times. #howtokillmen

I had high expectations when I picked up this book from #vinted. But alas. I had issue with the constant claim that women need to be thin to be pretty. That soured the story for me. The expected climax of the mystery this book presented seemed a bit far fetched.

Just finished Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. 451 Fahrenheit is the temperature at which books burn. In the pictures a quote from the book that made me feel hopeful. "Every generation we pick up a few more people that remember..."

A visual of how things are going in the US. It starts with trans people, but they are coming for everyone who is not a cis white man. I am so worried about my trans friends in the US.

I really enjoyed this book. I expected vampires but got strigoi, a zombie/vampire hybrid. Much gore causing many characters to vomit. The southern vibe and matriarchal family dynamic was great. The dog doesn't die. The sequel is coming out this month. Can't wait! #lindyryan #blessyourheart #horror
